events in a spiritual light to apply it in our lives.

Do we feel that we are sometimes spiritually blinded when facing a problem? Do we wonder what God’s plan is when we are under trials? Even though we have physical sight, spiritual blindness can paralyze our daily lives and can, to an extreme, result in us to lose hope and doubt the power of God. In order to understand this concept of spiritual sight, below are some practical tips that would be great if we kept them close in our hearts and minds.

The first step in receiving our spiritual sight is first and foremost seek the Lord. Trying any other means will surely collapse. As King David mentions in the Psalm 118:8, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” If the man born blind was in the modern 21st century, I am sure that a lot of time would have been wasted by going to top physicians in an attempt to restore vision; ultimately yielding failing results. Only an intervention from Christ restored his sight and hope; thus Christ should be our central goal when we are faced with a trial. Don’t let the devil deceive you that you can trust your education, friends, colleagues etc in order to solve the eminent problem at hand. Trust God! “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today” Exodus 14:13.

Secondly, in order to achieve spiritual sight, we must take what the Lord has given to us and obey his guidance. When Christ made the clay from the dirt, did the people around him ever think clay would produce sight? I am pretty sure that top medical intuitions would laugh at even the idea! Let us not forget that, “The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men” 1 Corinthians 1:25. We must understand we cannot understand God’s infinite wisdom with our feeble finite minds. Instead of questioning God’s actions, take what He has given and know that His way is the best way for you and glorify His holy name when He acts. His plan is the best!

To conclude, strengthening our deep relationship with God will ultimately give us our spiritual sight! We must always immerse ourselves in daily spiritual exercises and take the time to contemplate on how God has always been even during our most unfathomable tribulations. By doing so, we will not be shaken when we are presented with trials. In addition, we will understand that everything is in God’s hands which protects us. Don’t forget that He has the whole world in His hands! What an amazing statement! May God give us strength to deepen our relationship with Him to receive spiritual sight and Glory be to God forever amen.
